Spring & Sprout Expands Into Virginia

DETROIT, MI, November 28, 2016 – Huron Capital Partners LLC (“Huron Capital”) announced today that Richmond, VA-based Jack Dunlevy Orthodontics (“Dunlevy”) and Wood, Lombardozzi, PC (“W&L”) have become affiliates of Michigan-based Spring & Sprout Dental Holdings, Inc. (“Spring & Sprout”), a Huron Capital portfolio company. This is the first geographic expansion into the state of Virginia for the Spring & Sprout pediatric dental group.

Spring & Sprout was founded in 2014 as a Huron Capital ExecFactor® partnership with CEO and dental industry veteran Michael Schwartz. Since that time, Spring & Sprout has completed 11 affiliations in Michigan, Ohio, Tennessee, Texas, Pennsylvania and now Virginia; five of these affiliations were added in 2016.  Dunlevy and W&L operate co-located practices in Richmond, VA.

“We are excited about growing the Spring & Sprout footprint in a new geography,” said Schwartz. “Our management team believes the Richmond market is attractive for orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. Additionally, we will be seeking other opportunities with growing practices like Dunlevy and W&L, in Virginia and elsewhere.”

“We think the momentum is building for Spring & Sprout,” said Nick Barker, Partner at Huron Capital. “In 2014 this was a concept we were pursuing with our ExecFactor® partner Michael Schwartz, and now we are active in six states.  Spring & Sprout is set up to provide back office support for dental professionals so that they can spend more time with their patients, and we are actively looking for more potential affiliate partners.”
