Sciens Building Solutions Acquires WSA Systems-Boca

Detroit, MI – September 6, 2016 – Huron Capital Partners LLC (“Huron Capital”) today announced its fire detection and security services ExecFactor® platform, Sciens Building Solutions (“Sciens”), has acquired Boca Raton, FL-based WSA Systems-Boca, Inc. (“WSA”).  Huron Capital formed Sciens in 2015 as an ExecFactor® initiative in partnership with former Siemens executive, Terry Heath, to pursue a buy-and-build investment strategy in the fire detection and security services sector.

WSA designs, installs and provides maintenance services for fire detection and clean agent fire suppression systems in a variety of commercial, institutional, and government facilities. WSA also offers its customers complementary security solutions, such as access control, CCTV and mass notification systems.  WSA has been owned and operated by Brad Golub and Joe Del Pizzo, both of whom will remain active in the business, as WSA continues to operate in its regional market of Southern Florida as a division of Sciens.

“Brad and Joe have done a great job building WSA into the successful organization it is today, and we are excited for them join the Sciens team as we seek to develop our platform across North America,” said Heath, Sciens CEO. “WSA is an excellent strategic fit for Sciens, and we are eager to leverage the Company’s strong relationships with its customers and vendors.”

“We view Sciens as an excellent partner for WSA. We believe that Sciens provides us with resources and capabilities that enhance our ability to serve our customers and grow our operations, and we expect this partnership to create exciting opportunities for WSA’s employees,” added Golub.

Jim Mahoney, Partner at Huron Capital, added, “We are excited to partner with Terry in this initiative, and we are thrilled to add Brad and Joe to the team.  We look forward to continuing our work with Terry and the Sciens team, including board member and industry veteran Mark Levy, who formerly served as President and CEO of Honeywell Fire Safety, as we execute our buy-and-build investment strategy in the fire detection and security services sector.”
