Huron Capital’s Hughes Associates and The RJA Group Complete Historic Merger
Detroit, MI – June 30, 2014 – Huron Capital Partners (”Huron Capital”) today announced that its portfolio company Baltimore-based Hughes Associates and The RJA Group (“RJA”) have completed their merger, creating the fire protection industry’s leading engineering services company.
The companies are the two most experienced and respected names in the fire protection engineering profession and the merger creates a global professional consulting practice of more than 500 employees engaged in the broadest scope of specialty engineering services available to the built environment. The RJA Group is the Chicago-based parent company of Rolf Jensen & Associates. Both companies will continue to operate under their existing Hughes and RJA brands, while benefiting from the added resources, team and complementary expertise of the combined organization.
According to Phil Rogers, chief executive officer of the newly combined organization, the integration process has already begun and numerous opportunities exist for growth. “Our goal is to establish best practices for every facet of our practice and business. This will enable us to better serve the current and future needs of our clients regardless of their fire protection engineering or research challenges or their location across the globe.”
