Vice President, Finance
Kim is responsible for various aspects of the firm’s accounting, tax, and financial reporting functions, including preparation of periodic portfolio summaries for investors.
In April 2019, Kim Reed joined Huron as Vice President, Finance. In this role, she is responsible for overseeing all reporting, accounting, tax and treasury functions of the firm. She manages quarterly accounting and investor reporting, annual year-end audits, and tax filings.
Prior to joining Huron Capital, Kim held the position of Director, Reporting for Bedrock Detroit, a full service real estate firm within the Quicken Loans Family of Companies. Before relocating to Detroit, Kim held the position of Senior Vice President – Fund & Investor Reporting at Harrison Street Real Estate Capital in Chicago where she led the fund & investor reporting team for the firm’s opportunistic fund series. Kim began her career in Chicago at Ernst & Young in the real estate assurance practice.
Kim received her B.A. in Accountancy from Michigan State University and is a native Detroiter.
Fun Fact About Kim
Kim loves traveling and has covered the majority of continental Europe solo with only a backpack of stuff. On one of her trips, she sky dove from 12,000 feet over the Swiss Alps, and as a result has a mild to medium fear of heights. She is still not sure how she feels about being on the 27th floor at Huron! In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young children.
