Ken is a key lean manufacturing advisor for Huron Capital’s fixed-asset intensive businesses. He is an expert in the application of Toyota Production System methods to a variety of businesses. He served Herman Miller, Inc. for 28 years in various management and operations positions, most recently as Executive Vice President of Worldwide Operations. Previously, he served as President of Herman Miller’s Integrated Metal, Miltech and Powder Coat Technologies and as Senior Vice President of the Procurement and the Seating Group. Ken led the introduction and assimilation of the Toyota Production System throughout all Herman Miller operations. As a result of his leadership, Toyota considers Herman Miller as a Beta site for learning and benchmarking.
Prior to his time at Herman Miller, Ken served in a variety of operations positions at Baxter Travenol / American Hospital Supply Corporation. Separately, Ken has served on the Board of Directors for Fender Musical Instruments Corp. and Orion Energy Systems.
