Mike Griffus

Experience:  Mike serves as President and CEO of Tectrans, a former Huron portfolio company now owned by Keolis America.  He is a 25-year veteran of the transit management and transportation industry with extensive experience in vehicle operations for school bus, transit and paratransit service nationwide.

Mike is well known in the transit industry, having been responsible for more than 100 client contracts in his former role as President and COO of Veolia Transportation, North America.  As the SVP of the Western Region for Laidlaw from 1990 to 2005, Mike helped grow the school bus division at Laidlaw to 120 locations and approximately 10,000 buses.  He also spent nine years in local and over-the-road trucking operations with Leaseway Transportation.  Mike is an active member of all major trade associations, including APTA, CTAA, and several state and regional associations, and is a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.

Education:  B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Washington in Seattle.

Huron Board Affiliations:  Mike served as an advisor to Agri-Carriers Group, and also served as a Director of Tectrans.
