Huron pursues investment opportunities where the principals can support management in growing and enhancing the value of their business.  While every situation is unique, we focus on making investments in companies with these characteristics:

  • Committed and passionate management team willing to re-invest in their business alongside Huron
  • Inherent franchise value with defensible market, customer and product positions
  • Identifiable, achievable operating improvement and growth opportunities
  • Solid long-term industry fundamentals (non-cyclical, non-commodity businesses)
  • History of stable earnings with the opportunity to improve margins

We Focus on What We Know – the Lower Middle Market

We are flexible in structuring our transactions in order meet the unique needs of each business owner.  We typically focus on transactions that look like this:

Company Size

More than $5 million of EBITDA for platform companies; any size for add-ons

Transaction  Size

Between $20 million and $200 million for platform investments; any size for add-ons

Investment  Size

Between $10 million and $50 million of equity per transaction (and potentially more for certain situations)

Specialty manufacturing, consumer products & services, and business services

Geography

U.S. and Canada
